Get help finding and paying for housing
The City Family Homelessness & Eviction Prevention Supplement (CityFHEPS) can help you find and pay for housing. We can help if you are:
- A family living in a shelter
- An adult living in a shelter
- A family or an adult who might lose their home

If you live in a shelter, the staff there can help you find out if this program can help you.
If you have a home but are worried you might become homeless, you can call or go to a Homebase office to find out if this program can help you. Homebase helps people living in homes to stay in their homes, and helps people living in shelters to find homes. You can find a Homebase office near you, and call the office to make an appointment.

I need to change the amount of my housing assistance
You can ask for a change in the amount of money this program will give you if:
- Your income has changed since you joined this program
- The rent you pay for your housing through this program has changed
You will need to fill out a form and send other documents listed on the form.

I need to renew my housing assistance
Your housing assistance lasts for one year. Each year, you will need to renew your request to get housing assistance through this program. Five months before the end of your year of assistance, we will mail you an application to renew your housing assistance. For example, if you began your rental assistance in January 2024, we’ll send you the renewal form in August 2024.
You will need to fill out a form and send other documents.
